NANNY / FAMILY ASSISTANT — CORONA DEL MAR, CA Newport Beach Area · Part-Time or Full-Time · Immediate Need ABOUT OUR FAMILY I'm a single father of two wonderful kids — William (8) and Kate (5) — living in Corona del Mar. We operate on a 50/50 custody schedule, so you'll have a predictable rhythm with clear on/off weeks. William attends Harbor View Elementary in Corona del Mar; Kate is heading to Harbor View in August. Our life is active, warm, and rooted in this community. We also have a vacation home in La Quinta with a pool, trampoline, and basketball hoop — occasional trips there may be part of the picture. THE ROLE I'm looking for someone who's part nanny, part family assistant — someone who can be a trusted, capable presence in our lives, not just a babysitter. Equal parts warmth with the kids and competence on the logistics side. - School pickups and drop-offs at Harbor View Elementary - Afternoon care for William and Kate on custody days - Transportation to sports practices, activities, and weekend events - Errand running (groceries, dry cleaning, household supplies, etc.) - Light household management and coordination - Occasional support during my travel for work - Flexibility to accompany us to La Quinta on family trips SCHEDULE We follow a structured alternating custody schedule — roughly every other week you're on, with clear advance notice. On "my weeks," I need reliable coverage for school pickups and afternoon/evening care. Some weekends will be active (sports, birthday parties, activities). Flexibility and dependability matter most. IDEAL CANDIDATE - Warm, responsible, and great with school-aged kids - Highly organized — can manage a busy family calendar - Reliable vehicle, clean driving record, valid CA license - CPR/First Aid certified (or willing to certify) - Background check required - Experience with kids ages 5–10 preferred - College students welcome — especially those with education, child development, or psychology backgrounds - Comfortable in an active, social family lifestyle (Newport Beach area) COMPENSATION Competitive hourly rate commensurate with experience — Newport Beach market rate. Happy to discuss part-time and full-time arrangements depending on the right fit.
