Looking for a warm, energetic, and active nanny to team up with our family full-time starting mid-August! We have two sweet, busy little ones (an 8-month-old baby and a 29-month-old toddler) and need someone Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. We will agree upon a weekly schedule with 40 guaranteed hours, but the exact day and time are to be determined as we plan to have their grandmother watch the children for approximately 5 hours per week. We are looking for someone who is reliable and values routine, but can also be flexible for our family's needs and accommodate an occasional schedule request here and there. The daily routine involves handling preschool drop-off at 9:00 AM and pick-up at 12:00 PM for our daughter, so a clean driving record and a reliable car are a must. On a regular basis, we will ask that you take the kids out into the community for fun local outings to Orinda and Lafayette parks, libraries, Gymboree, and music classes. We work best with someone who is genuinely playful, spunky, and positive—someone who wants to jump right into the action, run around, and initiate creative play rather than just supervising from the sidelines. When our toddler is at preschool, your focus will be on hanging out and engaging with the baby. The nanny will manage child-related household tasks, including the kids' laundry, dishes, and cooking their meals; we will provide all the groceries for you to make fresh, home-cooked meals and purees for the baby. We will also request light family meal prep a few times per week. During nap once a day we encourage you to rest and eat lunch while the kids are asleep, using the rest of their nap time to prep meals and complete routine weekly tasks. Above all, we value open, honest, and transparent communication; we love someone who welcomes feedback and isn't afraid to bring fresh, creative ideas to the table. We will provide vacation and sick days. Mom typically works in San Francisco 3 days per week, and is remote Monday and Friday, but will be fully remote until end of December. Dad works in Alamo 5 days per week. *I have been on maternity leave since January 2026 - taking care of both kids, so I know the drill! Looking forward to teaming up and sharing in raising my kids!
