About this nanny job

We are looking for some support for our 4.5 year old son James. He is autistic and non verbal, but he is currently starting to say a few words- a super exciting time! We would prefer a caretaker who has some experience with autistic children, but this not a firm requirement. He is super sweet and a very happy boy! We currently have a full time nanny, and during the school year James attends school from 7:30am to 2pm (and is picked up/dropped off by his school bus) but are looking for some additional support as we both have jobs with long hours, weekends, and some travel, and will have a few weeks where he is out of school over the summer. We have two households (parents are divorced), but live 5 minutes from each other and both need some extra support. We like having the same caretakers for JP at both houses to create consistency in his life/schedule. We are primarily looking for back up care for when our nanny needs days off, but could commit to 1 day per week if this would be helpful. In general, we are more likely to need some help in afternoons/evenings along with occasional overnights. Our child care is primarily funded through an organization for children with disabilities. We would need to you to register as our caretaker through this service, and payments will come twice a month via check at the $40 per hour rate.
