About this nanny job

We are looking for a kind and creative caregiver for our almost 6 year old homeschooled daughter and 4 months old daughter. It could be a couple of hours taking care of 2 children and some hours with single child. We do ask for support in minor home chores (loading/unloading dishwasher, washer/dryer, simple food prep) that can be done with our daughter. We pay $25/hr for one child care and if one takes care of both children fully when we are not home, it would be $28/hr We value listening to the child with respect before imposing our views or opinions and we make efforts in creating a safe and supportive space for our children’s various emotions rather than telling them how to feel. ( for example, we avoid saying “It’s okay. Don’t be scared, You must be excited to have a younger sister, etc) Rather, we ask “ How was that experience for you? How are you feeling about that? Currently our older daughter loves arts and crafts, reading, role play, and hide and seek. We appreciate when the caregiver focuses on human connection and not be on the phone or uses screen in front of children. We appreciate human connection and kindly ask no screen time or use of phone during the care.
