About this nanny job

We're looking for a full-time nanny (M-F) to care for our son, Logan, and his friend, Brooks. Both boys were born in July 2024, are on the same schedule, and love spending their days together. This is a nanny share 3 days per week and solo care for Logan 2 days per week. Typical hours are 8:30am-4:30pm, though we can be somewhat flexible for the right person. **Compensation: $30-$34/hour depending on experience, plus guaranteed hours, PTO, paid holidays, and paid sick days.** The boys are happy, curious, talkative, affectionate, and very active. They love playgrounds, bikes, balls, trucks, animals, books, music, and outdoor adventures. They are screen-free and genuinely enjoy being out in the world exploring. A typical day includes: • Outdoor play, walks, parks, playgrounds, and adventures • Lunch at home • A consistent 2.5-3 hour midday nap • Afternoon snacks and playtime • Lots of opportunities for learning through play, conversation, reading, and exploration We live across from a large park and within walking distance of multiple playgrounds and trails. Depending on driving experience, we'd love for the boys to enjoy outings to places like the library, splash pads, parks, and other kid-friendly activities. We can provide an SUV for outings. We're looking for someone who: • Has at least 3 years of experience caring for toddlers • Is CPR certified • Has excellent references • Is a non-smoker with reliable transportation • Loves being active and spending time outdoors • Is warm, playful, patient, and highly engaged • Enjoys planning enriching activities and supporting child development • Is observant and interested in helping children learn, grow, and gain independence • Is reliable, punctual, and communicates well The right fit for our family is someone who doesn't simply supervise children, but truly enjoys spending time with them...getting on the floor to play, reading books, singing songs, exploring outside, and helping them discover the world around them. We also have a very sweet dog who mostly keeps to herself, so comfort around dogs is important. During nap time, we'd appreciate light child-related tidying if time allows after taking a break. We're a loving, respectful family that values kindness, communication, and creating a happy home. We hope to find someone looking for a long-term position who will become an important part of our family's village. *Live-in is also an option and something that's gone well previously!
