Seeking a caregiver with experience working w/ kids with ADHD and on the spectrum. My son is a fun, sweet and precious 11 year old who is just restarting in home social skills therapy to improve his ability to communicate with peers and follow through on tasks such as homework. You would supervise his in home therapy provider from 5-6:45pl, and make sure he has a snack and does his homework with you or the therapist by 7pm. You also are asked to give my child your full attention while on duty if the therapists with him (no personal phone calls, video calls, etc.). The job entails: -Meeting my son when he gets off the school transport service at 4:00. -Helping him get a snack and help him with his homework, warm up or cook him dinner…. Would be great if you could also have him help make dinner, too. -Supervise his therapy session from 5pm-6:45pm to make sure the therapist has everything she needs for a successful session. They will be working on things like executive skills, attention, increased communication, implementing chores and self care routines, as well as emotional regulation. The job usually lasts until 7:00pm, but once in a while it could go to 8:30/9 (usually around once a week). I would pay a premium for a professional caregiver who is truly committed to and enjoys working with kids. My son is a lot of fun and needs someone who is attentive, fun, creative, outgoing, nurturing and detail oriented.
