About this nanny job

Busy family seeking a proactive, organized, and dependable Family Assistant / Household Manager to support both the children and overall household operations. This is not a traditional nanny role. We are looking for someone who takes initiative, works independently, and helps keep the home running smoothly without daily direction. RESPONSIBILITIES Household Management • Daily laundry, folding, hanging, and organization • Make beds and maintain common areas • Manage household inventory and notify when supplies are low • Receive deliveries, packages, and water jugs • Run errands as needed • Empty trash and maintain garbage schedule • Keep bathrooms stocked and organized • Maintain kitchen cleanliness and organization • Unload dishwasher and put away dishes • Clean pet areas and maintain household systems (air purifiers, diffusers, etc.) • Assist with seasonal decorating and household projects Kitchen & Meal Prep • Meal prep and cooking assistance • Prepare lunches and after-school meals • Wash and prep fruits, snacks, and beverages • Organize pantry, refrigerator, and groceries • Prepare weekly juices and wellness shots • Thaw and prepare proteins and side dishes Childcare Support • Assist with school routines and homework • Help children maintain organized rooms • Plan activities, outings, and outdoor play • Encourage limited screen time and active engagement • Occasional weekend childcare with advance notice Pet Care • Daily dog walks and general pet care QUALIFICATIONS • Experience as a Family Assistant, Household Manager, Nanny, or similar role • Strong organizational and multitasking skills • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation • Comfortable around dogs • Trustworthy, professional, and dependable • Ability to work independently and anticipate needs IDEAL CANDIDATE We're looking for someone who sees what needs to be done and takes ownership. The ideal candidate enjoys balancing childcare, household management, organization, and meal prep while creating a positive, well-run home environment. References, background check, and clean driving record required.
