About this nanny job

We are a Fidi family looking for a reliable companion for shuttling and occasional supervision for our 11 year-old.  The most immediate need is for the summer.  See  below. THIS SUMMER: Mostly just "shuttle duty" from camp or home (Fidi) to activities in West Village or Tribeca/BPC . Likely just once or twice a week for the bulk of July and early-mid August. We would just need someone to get him from home or camp to the baseball field/activity by 6pm with his equipment and to leave him there as one of us will join soon after . Related transportation would be paid for.  Occasional one-off requests are possible but not expected. We can compromise on the specific travel arrangement if need be. The need begins the first full week after July 4 break and should be light and straightforward for the summer. THIS FALL AND ONWARD: A bigger and more consistent version of the above routine once the school starts. Unfortunately we will not know the afterschool activity schedule until late August or early September but it is likely to involve a few days of similar shuttling. Examples over prior years include: staying with him until we get home (usually by 7) activity drop-off where we are there to meet you Leaving immediately after activity drop-off in Tribeca or BPC from afterschool  drop-off and then shuttling to second (final) activity and leaving from there The schedule will not be set until later in August but once set, it should l be consistent and predictable for at least half of the school year.  We can be flexible and related transportation will be paid for. One of us is usually home or available by 7 -- many days it is sooner but we are subject to random changes or overflows in the work schedule that we may not learn about until that afternoon. NOTE: This summer would be a great way to get comfortable with everyone and everything before the Fall routine begins. FURTHER DETAILS: * Home is in Fidi (next to Wall 2/3) , School will be in West Village (near Houston or Christopher 1 or a bus), activities will either be in West Village, Fidi, or Tribeca/BPC not far from the 2/3 or A/C/E. * Our son is 11 years old, fairly self-sufficient and easygoing, knows his way around the city transportation systems, and is entering middle school this fall which will be his first daily routine completely away from Fidi. He loves sports, video games, robotics, and math problems. No heavy supervision needed. we have flexibility and would love to chat
