About this nanny job

Our family is looking for a warm, experienced, and energetic Family Assistant / Nanny to help care for our two boys, ages 3 and 1. This position is especially well-suited for a career nanny, preschool teacher, former preschool teacher, or experienced parent who genuinely enjoys the toddler and preschool years. We are looking for someone who has experience caring for multiple young children and who understands toddler development, sibling dynamics, emotional regulation, transitions, and the importance of balancing structure with warmth. This position averages approximately 20 hours per week. We value flexibility and typically create a schedule one week at a time. Each Sunday, we share the upcoming week’s schedule with our caregivers and confirm availability before finalizing plans. Typical shifts include: Saturday and Sunday shifts of approximately 4–6 hours each One or two weekday afternoon or evening shifts of approximately 4–6 hours each Occasionally, we may request additional hours for special family events, school events, birthday parties, or similar activities involving the children. What We’re Looking For Significant experience caring for toddlers and young children Experience caring for two or more children simultaneously Calm, patient, loving, and firm temperament Strong understanding of toddler and preschool-age development, including eating patterns and strategies that encourage healthy eating habits Comfortable managing tantrums, big feelings, transitions, separation anxiety, and bedtime routines Physically active and able to keep up with two energetic boys Reliable, punctual, communicative, and organized Strong references required CPR and First Aid certification preferred Please see full JD here: [removed]
