About this nanny job

We’re a warm Brooklyn Heights family looking for a reliable, energetic, and kind afterschool nanny/sitter for our two children, ages 5 and 3, during the fall and spring semesters. Schedule: Tuesdays and Thursdays, approximately 2:45–6:00pm Location: Brooklyn Heights Start: September 2026 - May 2027, potential to continue for 5 days a week for afterschool help for the 2027-2028 school year. The role would include school pickup, bringing the kids home or to nearby afterschool activities, play dates, playground time, and keeping the afternoon calm, fun, and structured. Includes feeding them dinner (don't need to cook) and snacks. We’re looking for someone who is: Warm, responsible, and genuinely enjoys young kids Comfortable managing two children at once Dependable and communicative Able to create a positive afterschool rhythm Ideally experienced with preschool/early elementary-age children Our kids are sweet, curious, and love books, puzzles, imaginative play, playgrounds, and art projects. We’re hoping to find someone who can become a trusted, consistent presence in their week. Prior childcare experience and references are important. CPR/first aid is a plus.
