We are a family of four in Noe Valley looking for a full-time nanny to care for our daughter, who will be 7 months old, starting in September. The ideal candidate is experienced with infants as well as toddlers, including age-appropriate nap routines, solids, and developmental milestones, and can support a calm daily routine. We’re looking for a gentle, reliable, and safety-oriented/aware individual with good judgment. We value transparent communication and a collaborative partnership.   This is a W2/payroll position with paid sick leave and PTO. Rate depends on experience, with overtime pay after 40 hours in a week. The schedule will be Monday-Friday, with exact times to be discussed before hire, approximately 43-45 hours/week and may be up to 50.  We’re looking for someone who can work with our family for at least 1.5/2 years.  Responsibilities include providing attentive, nurturing, and safe day-to-day baby care; supporting milestones through age-appropriate play; other baby-related support (e.g., baby laundry, baby dishes, tidying toys at the end of the day, light food preparation for the baby, etc.); providing clear, consistent daily communication with parents about feedings, sleep, milestones, supplies needed, and any concerns.  While we don’t anticipate the position involving much toddler care for our 2.5 year old (who is in school full-time), ideally candidates would be willing to care for both children on occasion, for an adjusted hourly rate. For example, this could be one-off days we need help with pickup, or school holidays.  Candidates should be up-to-date on COVID, TDAP, Flu, and MMR vaccines, as well as infant CPR certifications. Must be okay with dogs, as we have a small, friendly, hypoallergenic dog. Strong references from prior full-time childcare positions required.
