Part-Time Nanny & Family Assistant – Rockridge 6–10 hrs/week | 1-2 afternoons, remaining hours flexible About Us We're a family of 4 in Rockridge, Oakland, with two young kids—4 months and 5 years old. We're looking for a caring, proactive part-time nanny and household helper to support our busy lives. Our daughter's school and son's daycare are both a 10-minute walk from home. Both parents work full-time, splitting time between home and office, with occasional travel. Ideal Schedule • Mon: 2 hrs, flexible (household-focused) • Wed: 4-6pm • Thu: 4-6pm • Additional hours flexible, weekday or weekend, up to 10 hrs/week total Childcare • Picking up one or both kids from school/daycare (may progress to driving our daughter to after-school activities like sports or music as she gets older) • Engaging the kids in play and activities at home • Simple dinner prep for the kids (quesadillas, mac 'n cheese, scrambled eggs) • Helping with bedtime routine on nights we're working late Household Help • Tidying to keep things orderly (toys, dishes, light vacuuming) • Folding and putting away laundry • Occasional errands like grocery shopping About You • Great with kids—warm, caring, and engaged. • Experience with ages ~3mo-10yo • Proactive, with a strong work ethic and pride in your work • Clean driving record and 5+ years of driving experience (safety is paramount when driving our kids) • Reliable and communicative—advance notice for schedule changes or time off • Looking for a long-term, consistent part-time role; we'd love for this to become a lasting relationship • CPR-certified, or willing to certify within the first 30 days Flexibility (bonus, not required) We may occasionally need extra hours during travel weeks (up to 12 hrs total), with 2-4 weeks' notice.
