About this nanny job

Part-time nanny needed for our son Nico, a curious, determined little boy with mild cerebral palsy (right-side hemiplegia) born at 23 weeks. He has some ongoing complex medical needs — if he gets sick, he may require oxygen and nebulizer support — so we need someone who takes their own health seriously and is comfortable masking, especially during flu season. Looking for someone warm, engaging, and English-speaking who loves following a child’s lead in play. Since I’m usually home, this is a collaborative role. Responsibilities: playground outings, playful engagement that builds on his therapy goals, bath time every other day, light meal prep, and tidying after snacks and meals. Nico isn’t walking yet (active therapy goal), so comfort carrying him is a must. We prioritize intrinsic motivation over praise like “good job” — letting him problem-solve with help only when truly needed. Experience with disabilities a plus. Hours are M–F afternoons. Potential for increased hours down the line.
