About this nanny job

We are looking for a reliable, educationally-minded After-School Nanny/Tutor to care for two active 4-year-old boys who will be entering TK in the Fall. We also have a dog, so our ideal candidate must be comfortable around pets! Our home and the local park are within easy walking distance from the boys' school. Key Responsibilities School Pickup: - Regular Schedule: Mon, Wed, Thu, Fri at 2:30 PM. - Early Dismissal: Tuesdays at 1:30 PM. - Flexibility for occasional school minimum days / altered schedules is highly preferred. Active Play & Educational Engagement: - Keep them engaged till one of the parents gets home. We love someone who will actively do a fun activity or play with them to foster the boys' early childhood learning and developmental growth, (rather than just supervising screen time). - Our house is right next to a great local park (Ray Park) complete with a playground and sports fields. It’s the perfect setup for burning off afternoon energy on nice days. Snacks & Care: - The boys will be hungry after school. We can provide all the food & ingredients for you to help prepare afternoon snacks. End of Day - Keep the boys safe, engaged, and happy until parents return home around 6:00 PM. Who We Are Looking For - Someone punctual, responsible, and comfortable managing two preschoolers. - A caregiver who genuinely enjoys creative play, reading, or outdoor games. - Good communication skills to give us a quick download on how their afternoon went. Qualifications & Experience Requirements - Background or degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field is strongly preferred. - Minimum of 2–3 years of professional experience caring for preschool or kindergarten-aged children (experience with multiples is a plus). - Current CPR and First Aid Certification required. - Must be comfortable around them in the home. - Must be legally authorized to work in the US. - A clean, comprehensive background check (including criminal and driving records) and reference checks Additional Desired Criteria - TrustLine registration, negative TB test, and up-to-date immunizations. - Clean driving record for emergencies (no daily driving needed). Compensation - Competitive hourly rate with guaranteed weekly hours - Potential for additional hours
