Part-Time Nanny Wanted — Lake Highlands We are a family in the Lake Highlands area looking for a warm, reliable part-time nanny to help care for our sweet and funny 2.5-year-old son and to lend a hand to my wife during the month of August, who is expecting at the beginning of September. Schedule: 1–2 days per week on a set, consistent schedule, beginning August 10 through delivery of the baby. Pay: From $20 per hour, depending on experience. What the role involves: Caring for our 2.5-year-old son — sometimes working alongside my wife, and other times looking after him independently. Providing a helping hand to my wife as needed during her pregnancy. Taking our son on walks and to activities. At first this would be alongside my wife, and as comfort and familiarity grow, we would love for you to begin taking him to activities on your own. Light tidying up around the home. Being comfortable and confident around dogs, as we have two dogs in the home. Looking ahead: There is a possibility for continued, expanded assistance after our new baby arrives, assuming you are comfortable caring for two children. Our son will be starting school two days a week in September, around the time our new baby is due, so this continued assistance would most likely fall on the days he is at school. The ideal candidate is: Kind, patient, and dependable, with a genuine love for young children. Comfortable around dogs. Punctual and able to commit to a regular weekly schedule. Able to provide references from previous childcare families. A reliable car with the ability to safely transport two children is preferred.
