Experienced Nanny / Family Support Needed for 2-2-5-5 Parenting Schedule — After School, Evenings, Mornings, and Occasional Overnights I’m a single dad looking for a reliable, warm, experienced nanny/family support person to help care for my daughter over the next three months. I work in electoral politics, and my schedule can be demanding, especially during busy campaign periods. I share custody on a 2-2-5-5 parenting schedule, and I’m looking for someone who can provide consistent support during my parenting time. This role may include: - Picking my daughter up from school or camp - Caring for her after school while I’m working - Helping with dinner, bedtime, and evening routines when I work late - Preparing or helping make sure she has lunch packed for the next day - Staying overnight when necessary if I am traveling for work - Helping her get up, ready, and out the door on time in the morning - Dropping her off at camp/school in the morning - Providing general structure, care, and calm during a very busy work season I’m looking for someone dependable, kind, responsible, and comfortable being a steady adult presence. This is not just occasional babysitting — I need someone who can help support the rhythms of parenting during my scheduled custody time. Ideal candidate: - Has experience with school-age children - Has reliable transportation and a clean driving record - Is comfortable with mornings, evenings, and occasional overnights - Is organized and communicative - Can provide references - Is comfortable with a variable but planned-ahead schedule - CPR/First Aid certification is a plus Schedule: Based around a 2-2-5-5 parenting schedule, with specific dates provided in advance. Some weeks may require after-school/evening help; some may require morning drop-off; occasional overnights may be needed when I travel for work. Location: Silver Spring / DC-area Pay: Competitive and commensurate with experience. Open to discussing hourly, overnight, and/or guaranteed weekly minimum arrangements for the right person.
