About this nanny job

We are looking for more-or-less full-time care during the day (roughly 9-5) for our two children for three-four weeks between camp and the start of school. We are somewhat flexible on schedule (both in terms of exact hours and exact days, so if you needed a particular day off that wouldn't be a problem) and would guarantee at least 30 hours/week. Our daughter (6, entering first grade) is quite independent (will read and play on her own) but likes to have someone collaborate with her on art projects and imaginative play. Our son (2, still in diapers) needs more focused attention but loves to run around a playground somewhat independently. He has been in daycare since he was about 3 months old and is very social and pretty verbal. He still takes a midday nap for a couple hours starting around 12:30 or 1, which is the main schedule constraint in their days. We are happy to give you autonomy to decide what to do with them day-to-day. Given their age difference, we mostly just want to find things that are enjoyable for both of them and have them get outside. We are happy to talk with you about what that might involve, but they like playgrounds, pools, and museums. Both are used to taking public transit and walking.
