Part-Time After-School Nanny + Weekend Help for One 5-Year-Old — Approx. 10 Guaranteed Hours/Week We’re looking for a warm, reliable, and confident part-time nanny for our 5-year-old son in Lake Forest. The regular schedule would be approximately 10 guaranteed hours per week: • Two weekday afternoons/evenings: School pickup around 4:30 p.m. in RSM, drive him home, prepare and serve a simple dinner, spend some active time together (park, walk, outdoor play, etc.), and handle his bedtime routine. • One weekend morning: Approximately 4–5 hours on either Saturday or Sunday. We’re looking for someone who genuinely enjoys taking a child out of the house for activities such as the park, library, swimming pool, or another age-appropriate outing. There will also be opportunities for occasional additional babysitting. Our son is bright, energetic, funny, and strong-willed. We’re looking for someone who is kind and affectionate but also calm, confident, and able to hold appropriate boundaries. He does best with adults who can connect with him while also taking the lead when needed. The right person will be: • Reliable, responsible, and safety-conscious • A confident and safe driver with reliable transportation • Self-sufficient and comfortable planning outings and activities independently • Engaged and present, no screen usage with kids • Comfortable preparing a simple nutritious child’s dinner and managing the full evening/bedtime routine • Warm and patient, but not easily intimidated by pushback or negotiation • Proactive and able to make good decisions without needing constant direction • Genuinely interested in spending time with a child - talking, playing, reading, exploring, and getting out of the house We value reliability and consistency and would love to find someone who can become a trusted, long-term part of our family’s routine.
