About this nanny job

We’re looking for a dependable, caring, and engaging backup nanny for our family. This is not a full-time position, but we’ll provide plenty of advance notice whenever care is needed. Typical hours are 7:00 AM–5:00 PM. Both parents work, so reliability and punctuality are very important. We’re looking for someone who enjoys interacting with children, encourages learning through play, and creates a safe, positive environment. Responsibilities include: * Caring for our three children (ages 3, 2, and an infant) * Preparing breakfast, lunch, snacks, and simple meals * Reading books, arts & crafts, educational activities, and imaginative play * Outdoor play, neighborhood walks, and trips to the playground * Infant care, including bottles, diaper changes, naps, and age-appropriate developmental activities * Cleaning up after meals and activities * Keeping children’s bedrooms, play areas, and the kitchen tidy * Light household tasks such as unloading the dishwasher, folding children’s laundry, and general tidying We also have three small, friendly dogs. The only pet responsibility is letting them out into our fenced yard several times throughout the day. Our ideal nanny is: * Experienced with infants and multiple young children * Warm, patient, energetic, and dependable * CPR/First Aid certified * A non-smoker with reliable transportation Portuguese-speaking is a big plus, but not required.
