Hello — My wife and I (two moms) are looking for a nanny to care for our daughter Olivia (21 months old), full time, from 7.30 am to 4.30 pm, Monday through Friday, for a full year. We live in South Berkeley, about 2 min away from the Ashby BART station on foot, in a single family house with our 3 year old son, Lucas (who goes to preschool nearby). We have had amazing nannies through the years who have been like sisters to us, and who have build beautiful bonds with our kids and are hoping to find another — maybe you? Olivia is a bubbly, delightful little girl, always ready to brighten our days with her huge smile. She’s very independent and curious, loves to play, run, learn new tools, read, listen to music, build things... She has been diagnosed with a mild to moderate hearing loss which means she might need to wear hearing aids to make sure she hears all parts of speech. She has also been found to have a mild language delay (likely because of her hearing loss) so we are looking for a nanny who is really fluent in English with very good pronunciation to help her catch up, and support her as she takes speech therapy lessons. ———————— We have a fairly well established routine and are expecting our nanny to: - 7.30 am: Arrive home to feed Olivia her milk bottle - 8.00 am: Play a bit with her in the kids playroom - 9.30 am: Giver her her breakfast - 10.30 am: Head to the park and offer her a snack - 11.30 am: Head home - 12.00 pm: Feed her her lunch - 1.00 pm: Put her down for her nap — [LUNCH BREAK (+ kids laundry and emptying the dishwasher as needed)] — - 2.30 pm: Wake her from her nap and head out to the park again - 4 pm: Head back home - 4.15 pm: Give her her last milk bottle - 4.30 pm: End of your day! ———————— Occasionally, when we travel for work, we might ask if you’re open to staying a bit later to support bedtime (until 8 pm), or help on weekends, but ONLY if you are interested and available — it is never mandatory. We also might ask if you’d be ok with also keeping an eye on our son Lucas (3 years old) on days where his school is off, or for 15-30 minutes in the mornings while we prepare his lunch — this would of course depend on your availability and would be paid at a higher hourly rate. We proud ourselves on being kind, very respectful of your work and your time: We do not request or expect more work (like cooking or household chores) unless we all agree ahead of time. Are you interested? Please reach out and let’s chat!Nanny job details
