Job Description: We are seeking an energetic, reliable, and structured summer nanny for a short-term, 4-week position caring for our two children: an independent 8-year-old girl and an active 3-year-old boy (turning 4 soon!). Because we offer a competitive $20/hour rate, guaranteed full-time hours, and a 3-day weekend every week, this role is ideal for a local college student (Early Childhood Education, Nursing, or Psychology majors preferred) looking for excellent summer income. Key Responsibilities: • Preschool Prep & Potty Training: Our 3-year-old is preparing for preschool. A major focus of this role is maintaining a consistent, low-pressure potty training routine in our home (scheduled bathroom breaks, accident cleanup, and positive reinforcement). You will also introduce basic preschool concepts like counting, letter recognition, and reading. • 4th Grade Prep: Our 8-year-old is mostly independent but needs structure. You will supervise her daily summer workbook/study time to keep her mind sharp for 4th grade, ensuring she stays focused and tracks her progress. • Daily Routine: Preparing simple meals/snacks for the kids, keeping them engaged with minimal screen time, and tidying up after daily activities. Requirements: • Prior experience with toddlers and a patient, positive attitude toward potty training. • Reliable transportation to and from our home in Westland. • Non-smoker. • Must be able to commit to the full 4-week window.
