About this nanny job

We’re a family in Alamo Square looking for a part-time nanny for our happy, curious 16-month-old happy-go-lucky son. A little about us: both parents work in classical music—one of us performs, and the other works on the administrative side—so our schedules can be a bit unconventional at times. We also have a busy 9-year-old son who is either in camps, school, at baseball practice, or choir rehearsal. We’re looking for someone dependable who can keep a regular weekly schedule but also has flexibility for the occasional late night or weekend when both parents are working and both kids would need care. Schedule Around 20 hours/week, sometimes as much as 30 Usually at least Tuesday–Friday, 9:00-3:00pm (flexible!) Mostly daytime hours, but need help during an occasional weekday evening Board meeting (6x/year), donor event, or if both parents have an overlapping performance Pay + Benefits $30+/hr, depending on experience; will pay more if/when asked to watch both kids Ability to pay as a W-4 employee via a payroll service with paid sick time + PTO accrual What you’d do Hang out, play, read, and explore with our toddler Help with meals, naps, and keeping a nice routine Get outside for walks/park time Light kid-related cleanup We really value trust and communication, and want this to feel like a great fit on both sides.
