About this nanny job

We're a busy, close-knit family in Laguna Niguel looking for a full-time nanny who's equal parts nurturing, reliable, and self-directed. We have two kids, a 1 year-old and a 5-year-old, and we're looking for someone who can grow with our family as both kids grow. About the role: The majority of your day will be one-on-one with our baby, Isabel. In the afternoons you'll have both kids together when our 5-year-old, Noah, is home from school. On days when Noah is off school and both parents are working, you'll have both kids all day. We’ll pay a higher rate ($30/hr) to reflect that. There’s plenty of space at the house but we also encourage getting out to parks and other places where Isabel can experience the world. Day-to-day responsibilities: • Primary care for baby Isabel. Feeding, naps, play, and developmental activities. • Driving our 5-year-old to/from school, daycare, and the park • Preparing food and meals for the baby • Engaging both kids with age-appropriate activities when together • Occasional overnight care when both parents travel for work (rare, always planned in advance) • Opportunity for additional babysitting hours on evenings/weekends if you're interested What matters most to us: Routine is really important in our home, especially for the baby. That said, we're easygoing parents, we don't want to micromanage. We're looking for someone we can genuinely trust to fill the day with engaging, developmentally appropriate activities without needing a script. If you're someone who brings your own ideas, stays curious about child development, and builds real bonds with the kids in your care, you'll fit right in. (We will of course give some guidance/direction/preferences too as needed). What we're looking for: • Experience with infants and young children (references required) • Comfortable managing both a baby and a school-age child together • Own reliable vehicle, valid license, and clean driving record • Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) • Consistent, warm, and communicative Base rate: $27/hr | Both-kids full days: $30/hr Please reach out with a bit about yourself, your experience with infants, and your availability.
