About this nanny job

We're a warm, friendly family on the Upper East Side looking for a reliable, energetic caregiver to help with our three children during the school year. This position is primarily focused on our two older daughters (ages 5 and 8), who are fun, kind, curious, and generally very easy to be around. The role involves picking the girls up from school, bringing them home (or to nearby parks, playgrounds, activities, or playdates), helping with dinner, and getting them started on their evening routine before we take over. We're looking for someone who enjoys engaging with children—whether that's playing games, doing crafts, reading books, or simply encouraging imaginative play—rather than someone who is just supervising. We also have a baby, and while the position is primarily centered on our older girls, we'll also expect help caring for the baby while you're with our family. Much of that time will be alongside another adult (either a parent or our full-time weekday nanny), but there will also be regular periods when you'll be responsible for all three children before we get home. We're looking for someone who is confident caring for children of different ages and comfortable balancing the needs of a baby with two active school-aged kids. Reliability, punctuality, good judgment, and excellent communication are very important to us. We'd love to find someone who can become a consistent and trusted part of our family's routine throughout the school year. Although this posting is for our Wednesday-Friday after-school schedule, we're also looking for childcare help on weekends. If you're interested in additional hours, we'd be happy to discuss combining this position with regular weekend shifts—or even creating a full-time Wednesday-Sunday schedule. We're hoping to find someone who is warm, engaging, proactive, and genuinely enjoys spending time with children. Experience caring for multiple children, including an infant, is strongly preferred.
