Part-Time Family Assistant We’re looking for a dependable, caring, and organized Family Assistant to help support our busy family approximately three afternoons per week. Typical Schedule Approximately 3 days each week Schedule is planned in advance, though flexibility is appreciated when possible Afternoon hours, typically between 2:45 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. Start time varies based on the school pickup schedule, but is generally between 2:50–3:30 p.m. 8–10 guaranteed hours per week, with opportunities for additional hours for evening babysitting, school breaks, or other family needs Responsibilities Your primary role will be helping our family navigate the busy after-school hours, including: Picking up our oldest son from school Supervising him at home until a parent arrives around 5:15 p.m. Occasionally picking up our younger children from preschool/daycare Helping with light household tasks that keep family life running smoothly, such as: Starting dinner or simple meal prep Running occasional errands Folding laundry Tidying common areas or cleaning up after activities Additional opportunities for extra hours may include: Watching all four children for occasional evening events Extra childcare during school breaks or other scheduled needs We’re Looking For Someone Who Is: Warm, patient, and genuinely enjoys spending time with children Dependable, punctual, and proactive Organized and able to work independently Happy to jump in wherever help is needed Interested in building a long-term relationship with our family Requirements Reliable vehicle and safe, dependable transportation Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record Auto insurance Comfortable transporting children Previous childcare experience preferred CPR/First Aid certified (or willing to obtain) References available upon request Compensation $23–27 per hour, based on experience and qualifications Guaranteed weekly hours, even if our schedule occasionally changes Additional paid opportunities available for evenings, school breaks, and other family needs We’re hoping to find someone who will become a trusted part of our family’s routine—not just an employee, but someone our kids look forward to seeing each week.
