Part-Time Babysitter – Ongoing Location: Prospect Heights Schedule: 3 afternoons/week (10–25 hours/week total) About the Role We are looking for a reliable, energetic, and caring individual to help support our family this summer and going forward. We have one daughter who is a rising third grader—she is mild-mannered, creative, and loves reading, art, and spending time at the playground. Responsibilities School Pickup & Logistics: Pick up our daughter from school in Prospect Heights at 2:40 pm (or camp in Park Slope during the summer) Daily Care: Oversee homework, prepare dinner for 8 y.o., and facilitate playdates at home or at the local playground. Accompany our daughter to local after-school classes or tutoring sessions. Pet Care: We have a friendly yellow lab and a cat. Later evenings may occasionally require a quick walk for the dog (around the block). Optional Housework: If you are looking for additional hours, we offer extra pay for light housework and errands completed prior to school pickup. Schedule Details Standard Hours: 2:40 p.m. to between 6:30 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. Late Evenings: One pre-planned late night per week until 9:00 p.m. Flexibility: We are open to discussing the schedule based on your needs and preferences within the 10–25 hour range. The Ideal Candidate We are seeking someone who is patient with children, proactive in managing afternoon routines, and comfortable with pets.
