Family Assistant (15 Hours/Week) Monday-Friday, 2:30 PM-5:30 PM We’re a warm family in Park Slope with two young daughters (ages 3 and 5) looking for a dependable, proactive, and kind Family Assistant to help our weekday afternoons run more smoothly. We’re hoping to find someone who enjoys cooking, creating order, taking initiative, and being part of the rhythm of family life. A typical afternoon might include: * Preparing a simple family dinner (for example, baked chicken and roasted vegetables, salmon with rice and broccoli, tacos, sheet pan meals, soups, grain bowls, or other uncomplicated weeknight favorites). * Tidying the kitchen and common areas, unloading or loading the dishwasher, helping with family laundry, taking out the garbage and recycling, and taking care of anything that would make the evening run more smoothly. * Packing water bottles or school items for the next day. * Walking to pick up both children from school around 4:00 PM. * Returning home around 5:00 PM, serving dinner, helping everyone settle in for the evening, and doing a quick kitchen reset before heading out at 5:30 PM. We’re looking for someone who: * Is warm, dependable, and highly proactive. * Enjoys cooking simple family meals. If not totally comfortable with that yet, we can provide guidance. * Notices what needs to be done without needing extensive direction. * Is comfortable walking approximately 1.5-2 miles each weekday during school pickup (rain, shine, and typical Brooklyn weather). * Enjoys an active role that includes time spent walking outdoors.Nanny job details
