Looking for: Experienced Summer Childcare: Midwood, near Brooklyn College We're looking for an experienced caregiver for our 4-year-old son this summer. Start Monday, August 3, weekdays, roughly 8am-6pm. Our son is bright and curious (rockets, space, dinosaurs, construction, and science experiments). He’s equally capable of quiet reading and art time as well as energetic playground time. What matters most to us is initiative. In the mornings that looks like cheerfully taking over so we can get out the door: finishing breakfast, redirecting him etc. Also, proposing activities and outings rather than waiting for a plan. Ideally, you’ll have a calm, steady, joyful, playful, patient presence but also are confident holding gentle structure and boundaries. Screen-free play and learning. Comfortable getting him outside every day; parks, playground, and the library are all a 5-15 minute walk. Logistics: Location: Midwood, Brooklyn, near Brooklyn College Transit: B7, B44, B82 one block away; 2/5/B/Q trains about 10 minutes Requirements: Significant professional childcare experience with this age group Reliable, communicative, and punctual Non-smoker Background check and 2 recent employer references Flexibility for date night and’s ah hoc coverage a plusNanny job details
