Part-Time Nanny & Afterschool Helper (3 Children) Our active and loving family is seeking an energetic, friendly, and highly reliable part-time nanny to care for our three children (ages 6, 5, and 3). This is a fantastic role for someone who loves engaging children, enjoys creative play, and wants a consistent afternoon schedule! Our ideal candidate is a proactive self-starter who can seamlessly transition from school pick-ups to fun afternoon activities, while helping us keep our home running smoothly. Job Details Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM (20 hours/week). We offer some schedule flexibility for the right fit. Opportunity to periodically add more hours for evenings/date nights/weekends, if desired. Start Date: Late August (flexible) Location: Menlo Park Key Responsibilities School Pick-ups: Safely collect the children from preschool and elementary school. This includes both vehicle and walking pick ups. Afterschool Care: Plan fun, age-appropriate activities (e.g., trips to local parks, arts and crafts, outdoor play, and library visits) Healthy Snacks: Prepare and serve simple, nutritious afternoon snacks and lunches. Homework Support: Offer light guidance and encouragement for school-aged kids when needed. Tidying Up: Ensure the kitchen, dining, play areas and backyard are kept tidy after activities and meals. Children's Laundry: Keep up with the kids' laundry (washing, folding, and putting away). General Organization: Help the children put away their toys, shoes, and backpacks at the end of the day to keep the home organized. Qualifications & Requirements Safe Driver: Must have a valid driver’s license, a clean driving record, and a reliable, safe vehicle (with room for car seats/boosters). Relevant Experience: Previous experience caring for multiple children close in age (experience with toddlers and early elementary-aged children is highly preferred). Key Traits: Energetic, warm, patient, and extremely dependable. Safety First: CPR and First Aid certification (or a willingness to obtain it before starting). Background Check: Must be willing to undergo a background and reference check.
