About this nanny job

We are looking for a reliable, nurturing, and experienced infant caregiver for our sweet 8-week-old baby boy! Dad is returning to work full-time (in-office several days a week), and Mom will be home with the baby. (Then, Dad will take over and Mom will return to work in October.) Our baby is currently a fussy sleeper who needs a lot of hands-on soothing, so the primary goal of this role is to give us a dedicated, uninterrupted block to sleep and recharge. Schedule: • Tuesday, Wednesday, & Thursday • 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM (4 hours/day, 12 hours/week) • Midday flexibility if needed for the right candidate Key Responsibilities: • Primary focus: Soothing, feeding (all formula), diapering, and comforting an 8-week-old. • Practicing safe sleep habits. Requirements: • Significant, proven experience caring for newborns/infants under 3 months. • Current Infant/Child CPR and First Aid certification. • Up-to-date vaccinations (TDAP, Flu, COVID). • Non-smoker. • Comfort with Mom being in the house (resting in her bedroom with earplugs/white noise while you take full charge in the living area). We have a small (15 pounds) hypoallergenic, non-shedding dog in the home that will follow mom around the entire time and leave the sitter and baby alone. We live in a quiet, comfortable home in Wilmington and look forward to building a great relationship with our part-time sitter!
