About this nanny job

We are looking for a warm, dependable, and engaging nanny to become part of our family and care for our wonderful 3-year-old daughter. We hope to find someone interested in a long-term position of at least one year, as consistency is important to us. Both parents work from home and will be home during the day. Our older daughter had the same wonderful nanny for approximately 2.5 years while we were living in Australia, and she has now started kindergarten. We have been fortunate to care for our younger daughter ourselves while on parental leave, so this will be her first experience with a nanny. We’d like to make this transition as comfortable as possible by keeping her at home while we are nearby. During the initial transition period, we expect to spend some time with our daughter throughout the day as she becomes comfortable with a new caregiver. Schedule * Monday through Friday * 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. (35 guaranteed hours per week) * Start Date: August 31 Responsibilities Your primary responsibility will be providing attentive, loving, and engaging care for our daughter. Responsibilities include: * Preparing breakfast, lunch, and healthy snacks. * Planning fun, age-appropriate activities throughout the day, including: * Arts and crafts (she especially loves coloring!) * Reading books * Imaginative play * Puzzles * Educational activities * Music, singing, and indoor games * Encouraging creativity, learning, language development, and independent play. * Following her daily routine while providing a safe, nurturing environment. * Cleaning up after meals. * Washing dishes used for our daughter’s meals. * Tidying her play areas and activity spaces throughout the day. We are not looking for general housekeeping, family laundry, errands, or household cleaning beyond child-related tasks. Our Preferences * We would like our daughter to remain at home during working hours. We are not looking for outings to parks, libraries, playgroups, or other activities outside the home. * We prefer no screen time for our daughter during the day. * Personal cell phone use should be limited to emergencies or brief essential communication while actively caring for our daughter. * A driver’s license or personal vehicle is not required, as transportation is not part of the role. * We are looking for someone who is patient, kind, dependable, enthusiastic, and enjoys actively engaging with toddlers. * CPR and First Aid certification are preferred.
