About this nanny job

We're a family looking for a warm, reliable, and experienced babysitter to provide consistent part-time help with our two older children (ages 1 and 3) from September through March, with the potential to extend based on our family's needs. We are expecting our third baby and already have a wonderful full-time nanny who will continue working with our family. We're looking to add another caregiver to help with our older children during the newborn months and as we transition back to work. Schedule & Guaranteed Hours 2 weekday evenings/week: approximately 4:00–7:30 PM We're happy to establish the same two days each week or have some flexibility based on mutual availability. 7 hours/week are guaranteed. Weekday responsibilities include: - Preschool pickup for our 3-year-old (located across the street) - Caring for our 1- and 3-year-old - Park, walks, or neighborhood outings - Dinner/feeding - Bath time - Helping with the bedtime routine - Light cleanup related to the children Approximately 2 weekend shifts/month: Saturday OR Sunday We're flexible on dates and timing and can schedule in advance. Ideally: 8:00 AM–1:00 PM, or 2:00 PM–7:30 PM Weekend time is intended to be relaxed and fun — park or neighborhood outings, playing at home, meals, etc. We're primarily looking for someone who can give Mom and Dad an occasional break while providing our kids with a fun morning or afternoon. Weeks that include a weekend shift may be up to approximately 12–13 hours total. Compensation & Position Details - $30/hour - 7 guaranteed hours/week - Additional paid hours for weekend shifts - Approximately 2 weekend shifts/month, scheduled in advance - September–March commitment, with potential to extend (exact start date is also flexible) - Primary responsibility is our two older children (ages 1 & 3) — no newborn care expected - No major household responsibilities beyond cleaning up after the children We're hoping to find someone who genuinely enjoys toddlers and preschoolers, is dependable and comfortable independently managing two young children, and is interested in developing a consistent relationship with one family.
