About this nanny job

We’re looking for a warm, reliable after-school nanny to become a long-term part of our family and care for our two kids, ages 5 and 8, starting at the end of August. Schedule: Monday–Friday, 1:30–5:30 PM Guaranteed hours: 20 hours/week Location: Livermore / Sunset Elementary Pay: $26/hour while caring for 1 child; $31/hour while caring for both Benefits: Guaranteed 20 hours/week + 5 days PTO / 5 sick days per year Driving: Family vehicle provided for transporting the kids; valid driver’s license and clean driving record required. Typical afternoon: • Pick up our 5-year-old daughter from kindergarten at Sunset Elementary at 1:30 PM • Pick up our 8-year-old son from 3rd grade at Sunset at 2:50 PM • Take the kids to their scheduled after-school activities • Hang out, play, and have fun with them in between Who we’re looking for: Someone who genuinely loves being with kids and is warm, playful, silly, and endlessly patient. Our kids love singing, dancing, imaginary play, and having an adult who will jump in and have fun with them. We want someone who enjoys engaging with kids rather than simply supervising them. A few important things about our family: 🌱 We are a vegan household. We only allow vegan food in our home and ask that anything eaten with/around the kids is vegan as well. ❤️ We follow a gentle parenting approach. We don’t use punishments or time-outs and are looking for someone comfortable handling challenging moments with patience, connection, and calm boundaries.
