About this nanny job

Hi everyone! We’re looking for a babysitter/mother’s helper for our sweet 7-month-old son in the Lake Merritt (Oakland) area. We’d love to build a long-term relationship with someone local who is looking for additional work hours on top of their regular schedule . We’re hoping for 3–4 hour shifts, about 1–2 times per week (days and times can be flexible and will be discussed together). There will be opportunities to increase it. Our first need will be this upcoming Sunday, August 16, from approximately 9:00 AM–2:00 PM, so we’d love to arrange a paid trial this coming week to make sure it’s a great fit for everyone. We’re looking for someone who: • Has previous experience caring for infants (+6month) • Is warm, reliable, and engaging • Is comfortable with feeding, playtime, helping baby naps, and diaper changes • can help with a few baby-related household tasks when time allows (tidying toys, washing bottles, baby meal prep, folding baby laundry, etc. - we are a French-American household so bonus if you do speak a few words of French but absolutely not required 😉. If we are not home (babysitting), priority is caring for our little one—household tasks are simply a bonus if he’s happily napping or independently playing.
