About this nanny job

West Seattle family seeking an energetic, experienced person to spend time with 15-year-old twin boys. To be clear: these teens don't want a babysitter. They're independent, capable teenagers who simply need a responsible, engaged adult around. The right person will hang out with them, keep things active and fun, and know when to step in; without hovering. Both are autistic and a seizure disorder. They're funny and full of personality, and enjoy tennis, pickleball, ping pong, biking, scooters, Lego, music, and hands-on creative projects. They track a few years younger than their age socially and intellectually, so activities and conversation land best pitched around that level, but the key is someone who takes them seriously and makes them feel good about themselves. Experience with neurodivergent youth is helpful; ABA training, special education, occupational therapy, nursing, or a related background is a real plus. Comfort with seizure/first aid also helpful. Hours: 4-6 hours per day (we flexible on exact hours) from August 17 through early September. Once high school starts, some afternoons and weekends mostly shaped around the right person's availability. Pay: $35–$50/hr depending on experience.
