Seeking Part-Time Toddler Nanny 📍 Upper Queen Anne, Seattle 👶 One 16-month-old toddler 🕒 20–30 hours/week (weekday mornings, extending into the early afternoon) 💰 $30–35/hour (through Poppins) We're looking for a warm, experienced nanny to care for our son and become an important part of his early years. We're hoping to have someone start by August 24. ABOUT OUR SON Our son is a curious, observant, and active toddler who loves running, climbing, water play, books, music, and figuring out how things work. We're hoping to find someone who genuinely enjoys spending time with toddlers, wants to become an important part of a young child's early years, and is looking to build a long-term relationship with our family. RESPONSIBILITIES Provide attentive, engaged care during working hours Read books, sing songs, talk, and play throughout the day Spend plenty of time outdoors, including walks, playgrounds, and active play Encourage curiosity, exploration, and age-appropriate independence Meal prep and child-related cleaning Diapering and toddler hygiene Communicate openly with parents about the day's routines and activities OUR APPROACH TO CHILDCARE We're looking for someone who shares our approach to raising young children: Building a trusting relationship through consistency and connection Kind, consistent, age-appropriate boundaries Lots of conversation, books, music, and outdoor play Following children's curiosity while providing the support and encouragement they need to tackle new challenges Encouraging independence through gentle guidance QUALIFICATIONS 3+ years of experience caring for toddlers, with excellent references and a reliable work history Native or fluent English speaker Warm, patient, dependable, and emotionally attuned Enjoys reading, talking, singing, and engaging toddlers throughout the day Uses positive discipline and believes in both connection and consistent boundaries CPR/First Aid certified Non-smoker
