About this nanny job

Hi! We’re a family in Crocker Highlands, Oakland looking for a warm, reliable part-time mother’s helper to support our family with our 2-month-old baby and 2.5-year-old toddler. This is not a traditional nanny role. I’ll generally be home, and I’m looking for an extra set of hands to make the day-to-day with two little ones easier. The role would include things like: • Caring for/holding the baby while our toddler is at preschool so I can shower, exercise, run an errand, cook, or get things done • Helping with the baby while I’m home, including soothing, playing, walks, etc. • On weekends, playing with and caring for our toddler while I’m with the baby • Helping us get the kids ready and out the door • Occasionally helping with bath or the evening routine • Light meal prep, laundry, tidying, and resetting things when there’s downtime • Generally being willing to jump in wherever an extra pair of hands is helpful Schedule: Monday: 8am–1pm Tuesday: 3–8pm Wednesday: 8am–1pm Thursday: 3–8pm Friday: 8am–1pm Saturday: 8am–1pm We can be somewhat flexible on the exact schedule for the right person. We’d love someone who is warm, proactive, easygoing, and genuinely enjoys being around babies and toddlers. Infant experience is important. More than anything, we’re hoping for someone who naturally becomes part of the rhythm of our family and is happy to jump in where needed.
