**Part-Time Family Assistant / School Driver – Lafayette → Piedmont** **$28/hr + mileage | 10 Guaranteed Paid Hours/Week** We are a Lafayette family looking for a reliable, warm and responsible person to help with school transportation for our two older boys (11 and 14 yo), along with some flexible family-assistant help during the week. We offer **10 guaranteed paid hours every week at $28/hour + mileage reimbursement**, even when the school-driving schedule requires fewer than 10 hours. Any remaining hours can be scheduled flexibly during the week for family-assistant tasks. ### School Schedule My 11 year old attends school in Piedmont. **Morning drop-off:** Leave our Lafayette home by **7:45 AM** to drive to Piedmont. **Afternoon pickup:** * Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday: **4:00 PM** * Wednesday: **2:50 PM** Because of our custody schedule, the school transportation alternates every other week: **WEEK A** * Monday – afternoon pickup * Tuesday – morning drop-off + afternoon pickup * Wednesday – morning drop-off **WEEK B** * Wednesday – afternoon pickup at 2:50 * Thursday – morning drop-off + afternoon pickup * Friday – morning drop-off ### Flexible Family-Assistant Hours Any of the 10 guaranteed hours not needed for school transportation can be scheduled fairly flexibly and could include things like: * Kids' laundry * Grocery pickup or errands * Returns * Light meal prep * Organizing kids' rooms/sports gear * Other household/family-assistant tasks We're looking for someone with **reliable transportation, a clean driving record and excellent references**. Reliability is especially important since we need to know that someone will be there on scheduled mornings to leave by 7:45.
