Driving Nanny / After-School Nanny Needed – Washington, DC We are looking for a dependable, warm, and responsible driving nanny to help with our 11-year-old daughter approximately 3–4 days per week in Washington, DC. The primary responsibility will be afternoon school pickup in the Georgetown area and driving her home to Northeast DC. On some days, we may also need help staying with her for a period of time after school, and there may occasionally be opportunities for evening childcare or additional nanny coverage. Our daughter is 11, creative, funny, and very personable. She is a budding artist who can be introverted at times but is also very social and outgoing once she is comfortable. We would love to find someone who enjoys engaging with kids at this age, can have a good conversation with her, respects her independence, and can also provide appropriate supervision and structure. Primary Responsibilities * Pick up our daughter from school in the Georgetown area * Drive her safely home to Northeast Washington, DC * Provide occasional after-school supervision as needed * Potentially assist with occasional evening childcare * Maintain consistent and dependable communication with parents * Be open to additional nanny opportunities as our needs arise Requirements * Must have your own reliable vehicle * Must have a valid driver’s license * Must have a safe/good driving record * Must maintain current automobile insurance * Dependable and punctual * Comfortable driving throughout Washington, DC * Experience caring for school-aged children preferred * Warm, responsible, engaging, and able to connect with an 11-year-old while respecting her growing independence Schedule Approximately 3–4 afternoons per week, with the possibility of occasional evenings and additional childcare hours. We are looking for someone who can ideally become a consistent, trusted part of our daughter’s weekly routine rather than simply providing transportation.
