Part-Time Nanny / Family Assistant for Two Boys (Ages 5 & 7) We’re looking for a warm, reliable, highly responsible, and energetic part-time nanny to care for our two boys, ages 5 and 7, during the school week. We’re hoping to find someone who genuinely enjoys spending time with kids, takes initiative, and would like to become a trusted part of our family’s routine. Schedule • Monday–Thursday: 2:30–6:00/6:30 p.m. • Friday: 11:00 a.m.–4:30/5:00 p.m. • Approximately 20–22 hours/week • Opportunity for up to 30 hours/week with additional family/household support What we're looking for A big part of the job is picking the boys up from school and driving them to activities, tutoring, appointments, parks, and home. A safe, confident, attentive driver with a clean driving record is therefore very important to us. We’d love someone who is genuinely **active and engaged** with the boys—not simply supervising them. They enjoy board games and cards, reading, LEGO, arts and crafts, soccer and other sports, parks, hikes, and exploring outdoors. We’re looking for someone who will get to know their interests, come up with ideas, and help make their afternoons fun and enriching. Other responsibilities include: • Preparing snacks and simple meals • Helping with homework and reading • Keeping track of backpacks, school items, sports equipment, etc. • Keeping the boys’ rooms, play areas, and belongings organized • Helping with afternoon/evening routines • Communicating with us about their day, schedules, and anything that needs attention Being present and attentive with the children is especially important to us. We ask that personal phone use be kept to a minimum while with the boys, aside from navigation, communicating with us, or emergencies. For someone interested in more hours, we can offer up to approximately 30 hours/week with additional family-assistant responsibilities such as children’s laundry, light household organization/tidying, grocery runs and family errands, organizing clothing and school items, and simple meal preparation. Most importantly, we’re looking for someone who is dependable, caring, organized, proactive, and excited to build a great relationship with two fun and active boys. We hope to find someone who can be with our family longer term.
