About this nanny job

Hello! We’re looking for a regular after-school sitter for our 9-year-old daughter on Thursday afternoons throughout the school year, approximately 2:30 til 5:30 or 6:00 p.m. We can guarantee these hours each week, with the opportunity for occasional holiday, school-closure, and date-night hours if there’s interest. Responsibilities will include: School pickup in Park Slope every Thursday at 2:40 p.m. Snack at home or in the neighborhood Walking her to a 3:45 dance class about 15 minutes away Local outings, playtime, or homework time before/after class Light, child-related cleanup, such as putting away snacks and her lunchbox We’re looking for someone who is: Warm, responsible, and highly reliable — someone we can count on to be on time for school pickup and dance each week Comfortable walking with a child safely around Park Slope/Gowanus Communicative and comfortable coordinating with parents Able to commit for the school year, September through June ideally, or at least through the end of the calendar year Able to provide strong childcare references We think this could be an especially nice fit for a college or graduate student, teacher, artist, or other local person looking for one consistent weekly afternoon. Rate: $25–30/hour, depending on experience.
