# About Our Family Hi, I'm Chelsea. My husband David and I are looking for a sitter for our son DJ on Mondays and Fridays. ## Our family There are four of us, plus one very friendly dog. We're in the Mesa area. I work in enterprise technology sales from home, so I'm here through the day. I'm just heads down in meetings and not able to be with DJ the way he needs. What I need is someone consistent I can count on week after week. DJ is 9 months old and he's the one you'd be with. He's sitting up, babbling, grabbing at everything, and completely fascinated by his big sister. He's an easy baby as long as his day stays predictable, and I'll walk you through his whole routine so you're not guessing about anything. Daphne is 4 and she's in daycare during the day, so most of the time it's just you and DJ. The exception is if she's home sick. On those days you'd have both kids, but a sick 4 year old is mostly couch time and cartoons. Our dog is great with the kids. You don't have to do anything with her, just be comfortable having a dog around. ## The schedule Mondays and Fridays, 8:00 to 4:00, at our house. Those two days every week is the commitment I'm looking for. I want DJ getting used to one familiar person instead of a rotating cast. If you happen to have availability for an occasional evening or extra day, that's a nice bonus, but Mondays and Fridays are what I need. ## What the day looks like I work from home and I'm here the whole time you are. DJ is breastfed, so I handle all the nursing and naps myself. You won't be dealing with bottles or sleep at all. I'll step away from my desk when he needs me. It also means you're never on your own if something comes up or you have a question, though I do need to be able to focus between feedings. What I need from you is everything in between: - Feeding him breakfast and lunch. Baby food and soft finger foods, all prepped ahead of time. - Diaper changes and keeping him comfortable. - Playing with him. Floor time, tummy time, reading, all of it. - Getting outside for a walk when it's not too hot. - Light tidying that's just DJ related. His dishes, his laundry, his toys. No housekeeping and no cooking beyond serving what's already made. ## What I'm looking for Experience with babies this age is the big one. I want someone who's comfortable with starting solids and diapering, and who can tell the difference between a baby who's just fussy and a baby who actually needs something.
