Part-Time After-School/Evening Nanny + Driver — Potomac/Bethesda — Start 9/8 or sooner We are a family in Potomac, MD looking for a reliable, warm, experienced part-time nanny/driver for our two children, ages 4 and 6. We are hoping for someone to start September 8, or sooner if available. Schedule: Monday: 4:00–8:00 p.m. Tuesday: 4:00–8:00 p.m. Wednesday: 3:00–8:00 p.m. Thursday: 4:00–8:00 p.m. Friday: 4:00–8:00 p.m. Total: 21 guaranteed hours/week. Pay: $36–$38/hour gross depending on experience Approximately $756–$798/week gross guaranteed Additional hours paid at the hourly rate, with overtime paid as legally required Mileage reimbursed at the current IRS standard mileage rate for child-related driving About our family: Our daughter is 4 and attends pre-K in Potomac. Her aftercare runs until 6:00 p.m. Our son is 6 and attends school in Bethesda. His aftercare runs until 5:00 p.m. most days and until 4:00 p.m.on Wednesdays. He is autistic and has ADHD, so experience with neurodivergent children is strongly preferred. We are looking for someone calm, patient, dependable, and comfortable supporting after-school transitions, emotional regulation, and evening routines. Pickup plan: - Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday: nanny will typically handle aftercare pickup in Bethesda and Potomac and drive the children home. - Monday and Friday: parent will typically handle pickup; nanny will provide evening support at home. - Occasional Monday/Friday pickup help may be requested with advance notice if needed. Responsibilities: - Safe aftercare pickup and driving on scheduled pickup days - Helping children transition home and decompress after school - Preparing/serving snacks and simple kid dinners - Supporting routines, emotional regulation, and sibling dynamics - Unpacking backpacks and lunchboxes - Child-related cleanup after snacks/dinner/play - Helping with bath/bedtime routine as needed - Communicating with parents about the children’s afternoon/evening - Occasional additional hours for school closures, early dismissals, or date nights may be available by mutual agreement Requirements: - Prior childcare experience - Experience with autism/ADHD or neurodivergent children strongly preferred - Valid driver’s license - Clean driving record - Reliable car and proof of insurance - Comfortable driving children in the Bethesda/Potomac area - Non-smoker - Reliable, punctual, communicative, and calm under stress - Willing to complete background check
