.I’m moving out of the Bay Area on 8/15/2026. I’m available for one time gigs but not regular gigs. Thank you! Hi Parents! I'm Laura, a highly educated and experienced sitter who is excited about the possibility of babysitting your children! In addition to 20+ years of babysitting experience, I am a former teacher. Although I've mostly taught middle school English and history, I've worked with K-12 students in and outside of the classroom as a site coordinator and workshop facilitator. More recently, I've worked in healthcare for six years as a receptionist and scribe. I enjoy cooking, doing art projects, playing games, playing outside in nice weather, and reading with kids. I let the kid(s) take the lead in activities, within reason, of course. ;) Both my teaching experience and multidisciplinary education allow me to effectively help with homework. I have a Bachelor's degree in English and a minor in psychology plus 38 post-baccalaureate science credits, I’m starting grad school in August for audiology (AuD). I hope to work as an educational audiologist after graduation! I have undergone CPR/first aid/AED, and Safe Environment training as required by the schools where I taught. I am most comfortable caring for kids 2 years of age and older. I love pets and pet sit so no need to worry about allergies. 🐈🐕 my pet sitting rates differ from my babysitting rates, so please don't hesitate to ask! I have a valid driver's license, a reliable vehicle, and a clean driving record. I can drive my own car or the parents’ cars if automatic I accept cash, check, credit/debit card via Urban Sitter, Venmo, Zelle, and PayPal. I am willing to stay later than the agreed upon time provided that 1) the parent/guardian communicates this need with me and 2) I do not have any prior commitments afterwards. If you are going to be home more than 15 minutes past the agreed upon arrival time, please let me know. On my end, I will call or text if I am running late to a job. I require full payment if you cancel the job with less than 24 hours notice, except for inclement weather, death of a loved one, or medical reasons. If I have to cancel for illness or another unavoidable reason with less than 24 hours notice, a 25% discount will be applied to the next booking. Please don’t hesitate to message me with questions. Thank you for considering me and I hope we can work together soon! Best, Laura

I’ve been: • Babysitting for four years with ALL ages, infants and older! • A reading mentor to develop reading skills in younger children • A behavioral therapist/counselor who works with neurodivergent youth • An assistant/helper doing chores and other tasks • A pet sitter for both dogs and cats CPR/BLS certified with American Heart Association. Clean driving record and owns a car. Fully vaccinated and will wear a mask if necessary! Can provide recommendations. I’m an easygoing, gentle, and kind person. I have a very calm demeanor. I’m extremely patient with kids and really do love them, despite the challenges that can come with babysitting. They’re so sweet, and never fail to make me laugh or smile. My favorite things to do with kids are: • Outings • Drawing • Reading • Games (i love minecraft and a lot of nintendo games) • Naps (who doesn’t like nap time?)

Our 15 month old took to Theresa very quickly! She read with him and they played together while they got comfortable and then they did the whole bedtime routine. She was conscientious about safety, following our house guidelines and routine, and very sweet with him. We look forward to having her back.

Hi there! My name is Aidan. I am 24 years old, I finished my Culture and Arts degree at Fordham last year, am pursuing working in the performing arts, work in the Theatre Industry, and am looking for some babysitting gigs to earn some extra money in this new chapter of life! I grew up between San Francisco and Brooklyn, so I am great with city kids as I am one! I have so much passion for working with kids (I have tons of classroom experience) and really think I could be a great fit for your family if you gave me a chance! - Why do I babysit? - 1. I love kids! I grew up in a big family as the oldest child on all sides so I have been helping take care of little ones for most of my life. 2. I have a passion for working with kids! I have in the classroom experience which has given me tons of childhood development skills and babysitting lets me use them! 3. I strive to be a positive male role model in all children’s lives. I grew up with girls and loved doing arts and crafts, make believe, dolls, etc… As a boy I love to rough house, run around, and play games. Anything a female babysitter can bring to the table, I can too! - My Background - I have been working with kids for 10 years as an After School Teacher, Nanny, Babysitter and Camp Counselor. I am certified in CPR/First Aid and have training in Child Abuse Prevention. Additionally, I have in-the-classroom experience which has enabled me to become very familiar with current educational standards and would be an excellent assistant to your child's homework needs. More importantly though, that knowledge helps me be more relatable to them as I understand what they’re currently experiencing at school! I have a background in performing arts, which you will find allows for pretty awesome story-times and games. We theatre kids have a ton of energy and I am no exception to this. I can keep up with all the energy your kids have and then some. I am a good listener and am flexible and willing to do just about anything a family needs of me. At the end of the day, the most important thing to me is to make sure your children are safe and happy, and that you as parents are satisfied with my care. I know it is uncommon to hire men in this field, but I promise you that you will not regret hiring me and I would be more than happy to provide as many references as you want! Let me know if you think I could be a good match for your family!

Meet Catherine, a dedicated professional nanny with expertise and a genuine passion for childcare, with two college degrees—one in Accounting and another in Fashion Design—emphasizing holistic child development with her additional certification in nutrition. In her remarkable 12-year career, Catherine has built strong relationships with several repeat families. Concurrently working with three families over nine months, she cared for children aged 9 months to 1.5 years, addressing household cleanliness and caring for pets, including dogs and backyard chickens. In another role, she spent five months nurturing a 1-year-old, dedicating 25 hours per week to create a supportive environment. Catherine's caregiving stands out with engaging activities, from park visits to craft projects like lanyard keychains, bead art, painting, and clay molding. She ensures a stimulating environment, incorporating interactive storytime, scheduled playdates, and outings to enhance social and cognitive development. Beyond caregiving, Catherine is a registered driver for HopSkipDrive, specializing in safe transportation for children aged 4 to 13. Her commitment extends to being a camp counselor at Camp Couture, teaching sewing to kids aged 7-12. Adding a musical dimension, Catherine plays bass in the rock 'n' roll band "Best Mom Ever," focusing on positive messages through songs like "Be Kind," "Be Friendly," and "Be Confident." In a personal touch, Catherine leverages her fashion design background to create personalized clothing for the children she nannies, showcasing creativity and dedication to making a lasting impact. A natural caregiver from a young age, Catherine, the oldest of two siblings and five cousins, possesses a deep understanding of childcare transcending professional expertise. Catherine brings knowledge, creativity, and a nurturing spirit to her role. Whether crafting in the kitchen, leading projects, maintaining home cleanliness, or providing safe transportation, she is committed to creating a positive, enriching experience for the children under her care.

Cat has been the full time caregiver for my two children, for over two years. She is extremely reliable, responsible, patient and caring. She has been flexible to help with pick ups for my school aged child, and she takes our toddler to engaging and educational activities during the day. I've had multiple parents and teachers from my children's school pull me aside to tell me how wonderful and engaged Cat is. Cat consistently facilitates creative projects, like making jewelry and art. Further, Cat has a wonderful, positive attitude, that makes her a joy to be around. I highly recommend Cat.

"When we hired Amani, we felt like we hit the jackpot. We were very lucky to find her on UrbanSitter at the beginning of school year. She was picking up kids from school, taking them to afternoon activities, helping them with assignments. She prepped food for them, helped organize their closets and keep their spaces neat and orderly. We would hire her again in a heartbeat."
