I have a history of caring for people throughout my entire life. I started babysitting and doing art projects with my neighbor's children at the age of 13. I was the kid who taught all the other kids to draw, waterski, and help with chores. I was a traveling nanny for five children, moving around with the family during the summers for their vacations and working at home with them for one full year. I cooked for them, took them to events, and entertained them; I drove them all over for sightseeing outings and managed all their needs. It was a big job and I was only 18. I went on to house-sit and provide child care for many friends and neighbors over the years. I also house-sit and pet-sit for many clients. I started my own pet-sitting service while working at a pet store when I was 19. I became a gallery salesperson at the age of 19 and soon began attending community college, where I completed my general ed towards my BFA. I then moved to Paris, France, for a year to further my studies. After graduating with my BFA, I pursued a career as an art center director, curator, and exhibitions coordinator. I raised two sons, one from birth and the second I adopted when he was 15. I was the carpool parent, the extra special event parent, the yummy snack parent, and the art and museum experience parent. I also directed an art center for 11 years, during which I created an after-school arts and academic education program serving elementary through high school at-risk youth. I went on to direct non-profit museum spaces, work as a college professor with community college students, and freelance as an exhibition coordinator and curator for a U.S. exhibition touring, serving a world-renowned artist. I continued to help elderly friends in need, care for children, and house- and pet-sit. I am the friend most people call on for choices, errands, childcare, help when someone is sick, rides, fun, adventure, hikes, house repairs, or care, and help in general. I enjoy helping people, and I am very good at it. I am 57 years young and have spent my life caring for people, as my career and life have blossomed.
I’ve been caring for children, homes, and families for over 15 years. I started babysitting at age 15 and have continued working with kids of all ages ever since. Now at 30, I bring a strong sense of responsibility, experience, and maturity to every family I work with. I graduated from Brown University, where I was a Division I lacrosse player and captain of the team my senior year. That experience shaped my leadership, discipline, and ability to stay calm and organized in fast-paced environments—qualities I bring into caregiving every day. Professionally, I’m a business owner, which speaks to my reliability, time management, and strong communication skills. Families trust me not only with their children, but also with their homes. I’ve frequently been hired to house sit while families travel, managing everything from daily upkeep to pet care and ensuring everything runs smoothly while they’re away. I have extensive experience tutoring middle and high school students, so I’m very comfortable helping with homework, keeping kids engaged, and supporting their academic growth. I also regularly care for my nephew, which has deepened my ability to connect with children in a patient, attentive, and genuinely caring way. Overall, I’m known for being dependable, trustworthy, and easy to work with. I bring a positive, grounded energy and take pride in creating a safe, fun, and supportive environment for both kids and families.
“Rosie was an excellent babysitter, I knew my baby was safe and so happy under her care and my dog absolutely loved her!”
Hi! My name is Olivia, and I am from New York but have been living in LA for almost 4 years. I have 6-7 years of experience of working with kids from teaching skiing, nannying, and regular babysitting. In the past I would play board games, paint, and anything outdoors. My full time job is as an art director so I lean on the creative side to do painting, drawing, etc with the kiddos. Hope we can connect soon!
Hi I'm a currently living in LA until September! I have a passion for the outdoors, writing, fashion, and music. I have worked with kids for most of my life including camp counselor experience where I stayed with 9 kids for over three weeks overnight! I am excited to hopefully help you out!
Hi! My name is Ellen and I would love to offer my services as a patient and nurturing caregiver. I like to think I am attentive, organized, and prioritize the safety of kids always! I can help with homework, engage kids in fun activities, prepare meals, manage bedtime routines, and keep the home clean. I love dogs and cats and am happy to assist with pretty much any household task! Families have described me as dependable, warm, and trustworthy. I truly enjoy building positive relationships with children while providing a structured, caring environment where they feel safe and supported. I’ve worked as a paraeducator in special education classrooms and am currently in the process of becoming an RBT (registered behavior technician). For families looking for household care rather than child care: I'd say I am super detail-oriented when it comes to cleaning. As long as I have the right supplies, I'll do a thorough job for your home! I can also cook most anything with a recipe to follow. On a whim though, I can make simple meals like fried rice, sandwiches, breakfast platter, and more!
