Mariel Arlington
$25 per hour for 1 child

Hi - My name is Mariel. I have more than 4 years of experience taking care of little ones. I am offering child care and house services; organizing your closet or helping you clean your house. I enjoy being a babysitter and have been watching newborns, infants, and toddlers since I was 8 years old because I used to take care of my young sister in Peru while my mother went to work. Obviously, I had the help of my older sister. I started working more seriously as a caregiver when I was 18, taking care of a newborn for two months, then I came to the USA as an au-pair, and took care of a toddler and a 4-year-old for two years. After that, I took care of a baby for a year and a half until he went to daycare. And my last job was with a baby; my contract was for 5 months, and it was a great time with them. I have great references from all my previous jobs. I am happy to work with families with dogs, but I will not take care of the dog unless I see a great need for the pup, and I will try my best to help if the dog is in need and you are not home. I will prefer a schedule from 9 AM to 4 PM, and weekends are off-limits since I have other commitments, and I prioritize time with my family.

Hi! My name is Danielle and I'm an elementary teacher assistant for Arlington Public Schools. I am offering child care during after school hours and weekends. I love being a babysitter and have been caring for children preschool-aged and older since middle school! I also have a few years of experience with infants and toddlers, and have worked in several childcare centers. I have my own car, am First Aid and CPR certified, and happy to share proof of my COVID vaccinations and background check clearance. Pricing is negotiable :)

Dani was great with the kids and we will definitely work with her again and will recommend here to others.

Natalie 1 review
Alexandria
$25 per hour for 1 child

Caring for children has always been a meaningful part of my life. I began by helping raise my sister, who is 13 years younger than me, and over the years I’ve cared for cousins, friends’ children, and others in my community. I started babysitting in high school and continued for several years, both professionally and informally, developing experience with children of all ages—from infants to pre-teens (up to 12 years old). I am confident and capable in managing routines, playtime, meals, and the unique personalities of each child. In addition to childcare, I’ve worked in fast-paced environments such as law firms, World Bank events and high-end restaurants, which has honed my organizational skills, ability to multitask, and calmness under pressure. I’m family-oriented, creative and culturally diverse. English is my first language and I speak perfect Spanish. I’m also familiar with Arabic language and culture, allowing me to connect with children from different backgrounds. With a foundation in arts and hospitality, I enjoy engaging kids through creativity, interactive play, and making meals fun and appealing. I’ve recently returned to babysitting as a way to earn extra income doing something I genuinely love, and I take the responsibility very seriously!

Natalie is incredible with my kids and is such a fun, engaging, and genuinely interesting person. She has a natural ability to connect with children in a way that feels both relatable and grounding, while still keeping things structured and functional. She is extremely trustworthy, kind, and responsible, and you can immediately tell that caregiving comes naturally to her. My kids adore her, and I always feel completely at ease knowing they are in her care. Your children will be in excellent hands with Natalie.

Madeline 1 review
College Park
$20 per hour for 1 child
Booked by 2 families in District Heights, MD

Hi, I'm Maddie! I'm a graduate student at UMD and I am currently offering child care services. I love working with and empowering kids and have previously had roles as a summer science camp teacher and summer library staff where I primarily have cared for school-aged children. I love doing crafts, reading, and playing games with kids and I occasionally tutor.

Maddie is absolutely wonderful! It was her first time meeting my son, who’s on the spectrum, and they connected right away. She’s incredibly kind, reliable, and someone I feel completely comfortable trusting with his care. Maddie even handled driving him to and from his ABA therapy, which I truly appreciate. I’m so grateful to have found her and look forward to having her help again on future dates.

Upper Marlboro
$20 per hour for 1 child
Booked by 1 family in District Heights, MD

Hi! I'm Kadima, a happy, energetic college student with 5+ years of childcare experience. I'm naturally great with kids and love keeping them engaged in a fun, safe, and supportive environment. I work with an event childcare company, caring for large groups of children (40+ at a time), and I've also been a birthday party hostess and in-home babysitter for families. I have experience shadowing an RBT, working with children with special needs, which has helped me become patient, adaptable, and attentive to each child's needs. I also have experience as a CNA doing homecare. Super okay with pets too (and I'm AHA Certified for Basic Life support! Yay!) I bring a positive attitude, reliability, and lots of energy to every family I work with!
