I'm a graduate student currently pursuing a master's in social work. I was a sitter and nanny throughout high school and college. More recently I have returned to working in childcare in a more formal setting as I work towards my degree. For the past year, I was a clinical social work intern at an elementary school in Montgomery County, MD providing child play therapy to students ages 5-11 with a variety of support needs. Prior to that, I worked at Horton's Kids, a non-profit in Southeast DC providing after school programming and supports to families in the neighborhood. I assisted with after school enrichment programs and also worked directly with students K-8 on social and emotional learning. I am looking for occasional and part time work and have a flexible schedule, especially on weekends. I am happy to answer any questions and provide references upon request!

What a Lifesaver! As newbies we were super nervous and really appreciated the quick response for a late night interview on short notice followed by an early morning FaceTime with our 5y.o to prep for after school pick up. Kam took a whole slew of directions with no issue whatsoever. It was pouring so they were stuck indoors but our son was perfectly content kicking it in and made it to Tae Kwon Do on time. We’re all looking forward to booking Kam again!

I book primarily offline but use UrbanSitter as a resource to meet new, wonderful families. Im so fortunate to have been connected to so many incredible families through this platform! 📱I follow parent lead regarding tech and TV. Please let me know of any screen or tech boundaries! 🚨safety: Fully vaccinated & flu shot. Happy to wear a mask or complete a rapid COVID test morning of on request. Let me know what your comfort level is! ✨Currently not looking for part-or full-time jobs.I’m working full-time but available for weekend and evening babysitting.

Hi families I’m Ali I have a Communication science degree and I’ve been a babysitter/nanny for over 10 years. I’m a Spanish speaker so if you want your children to learn another language I’d be so happy to help. I worked for 2.5 years as an AuPair taking care of children from 3 different families ( 7 months old to 13 years old) I had a great experience with all the families and kids. My last full time job ended after almost 2 years of taking care of a beautiful baby girl who now is in pre-k but I still babysit her constantly. In my last two jobs I watched babies, a 3 months old baby boy and then another 3 months old baby girl. My schedule is very flexible and I’m available on weekends as well. Thanks

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
