Profile: Hi my name is Raquel, I’m fluent in both English and Spanish. My first language is Spanish and I find great pleasure introducing children language skills like Spanish, with their parents’ consent of course. I am also AA in Early Childhood Education. I’m an experienced nanny that has been working with families and their children for 24 years. I’m easy going, warm and loving, I care for children as they were my own. Also, for indoor activities, I engage children with books, art, music, self-caring and biological development as feeding, sleeping and diaper change. I only expose children to TV if it’s part of the parents’ routine otherwise, TV is not a necessity during my time with them. In addition of caring and providing learning opportunities for children, as part of my responsibility, I keep the play area and the kitchen neat, clean the child’s laundry and keep their room clean. Hi Families! I’m Khady, I’m a third year student at Howard University. I currently reside in Noma. I’m originally from Raleigh, North Carolina, and I’ve been babysitting for about eight years. I got my Red Cross babysitting and CPR/First Aid certification at 12, and since then, I’ve been working with newborns up to teenagers. I’m experienced with all ages, but I especially love working with toddlers from 3 months to 5 to 6 years old. I also have a lot of experience with special needs, especially ASD and ADHD. I’ve worked with many families, providing date nights and backup care, and I’ve had several consistent nanny families over the years. I’m also a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and spent a year and a half at UNC Rex Hospital NICU, where I gained my experience with newborns. I enjoyed spending time outdoors, going to the pool, taking trips to the park, and keeping the children occupied with fun activities without screen time.
