Leslye is WONDERFUL! Her communication before, while, and after watching my 11-month daughter was great. She is also incredibly caring and responsible, and my daughter was immediately comfortable with her. Leslye made sure they had a fun day - including taking our daughter to the park and the waterfront to see the ducks and birds. I'm really excited to have Leslye come back and any other family would be lucky to have her watch their children as well!

Hi. My name is Tabitha. I am from Washington DC. I have a Bachelors in Early Childhood Education from Temple University. I have worked in childcare for about 4 years. I am currently working as a lead teacher in a childcare center but looking to transition to a nanny position. I have had many babysitting gigs in the past. I love working with children and I love to help out families.

We had a great experience with Tabitha, when she was available last minute and great with the kids. I would hire her again.

Hello Families! Like most of us, I have been babysitting long before I was getting paid to do so, and I've always enjoyed it. I have 8 years of professional/paid babysitting experience under my belt and I love my jobs! I also have volunteer hours at orphanages and pre-k classrooms, which were very educative and fulfilling. I enjoy the interaction with the children and the flexibility these jobs have to offer a student like myself. I spent some years schooling outside of the States, which has molded me into well rounded, open-minded individual . I display responsibility and reliability on and off the job and an easy-going personality to be around. Previous employers describe me as very sweet, yet assertive with the children. I am energetic and playful enough to get down on all fours and play Space Explorers with the kids I babysit, yet mature enough to take charge and maintain control. I enjoy playtime and being active (i.e. trips to the park) with children, but I do see it as my duty to engage them mentally while they are in my care. I limit TV watching and enjoy reading to them and doing other age appropriate educational activities. I primarily take on one-time/occasional/date-night/overnight/traveling sitting jobs. I have a very flexible schedule, so I can also be a lifesaver in last minute and short notice situations. I look forward to working with you :)

Hi,My name is Yolanda. I have 8 years child care experience and have worked with kids ages 0-16 years of age.I am First aid and CPR certified. I am fully vaccinated too. I have hands on experience caring for newborns, including feeding, burping, changing diapers, and establishing sleep routines. I’m comfortable preparing bottles, sterilizing equipment, and keeping detailed logs for parents. I also focus on providing a safe, nurturing environment and supporting early development through tummy time and gentle interaction. I’m skilled in recognizing cues for hunger, tiredness, or discomfort and responding quickly with care. Beyond basic needs, I enjoy bonding with babies through gentle play, singing, and reading. My experience with toddlers and children includes guiding them through daily routines, from meals and naps to bath and bedtime. I enjoy planning fun, interactive activities that encourage learning, such as puzzles, sensory play, pretend play, taking walks, the park and reading. I also help with homework and school readiness for older kids. I’m patient, creative, and committed to providing a caring environment that helps children feel secure and grow with confidence. What I love most about Taking care of Kids is that, that’s the only time I can get to be a kid and I believe kids give me new and positive energy everyday. Taking care of kids is the best way to spend my days because kids are pretty awesome, Tiny little humans who are honest, funny, affectionate and help you get out of your head for a while. Taking care of kids gives me more reason to relive my childhood days because In that way I can get to indulge in movies, books and games I loved as a kid growing up and it gives me more practice to prepare myself for handling my own kids someday. I love what I do and perform this job with great dedication, commitment and ambition. I know how important it is to provide kids with individual attention therefore I am happy to spend that time with them. The safety and well being of the kids are my priority and my highest bid. In my spare time I love to read, write, bake, cook, hike, and play sports (Field hockey, swim and volleyball). Taking care of kids is not easy but it is definitely a great experience to share with them. I promise your kids will be in safe hands and have a ton of fun. I am looking forward to hearing from you. Thank you for considering my application.

Yolanda was very professional and communicative on top of doing a great cleaning job. She paid attention to the little details and made sure everything was up to her high standard of care.

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
