Hello, I'm Sharonda! I recently began a doctoral program studying curriculum and instruction. I have a Master of Arts in Teaching English from Trinity Washington University, and love enriching literacy activities that engage learners in a variety of ways. I've tutored, taught, and volunteered with elementary and secondary aged children, locally and internationally, for the past 9 years. I love providing childcare because I find interacting with children to be joyous and rewarding. Children are adventurous, have a great sense of humor, and bring many opportunities for learning and exploration because of their curiosity. As one who is passionate about education, building healthy connections with children is an essential practice. In my spare time, I love creative writing (short stories, essays, and poetry), reading (especially in libraries, boutique bookstores), crafting (jewelry making, drawing/coloring, and DIY projects), spending time outdoors, and occasionally watching television programs about travel and nature (I'm also a Marvel fan).
